Possible sending strategies for disposal

provided in chapter II of the D.P.R. n. 254/2003

The chain of incineration of hazardous medical waste at infectious risk owes its impacts substantially to three fundamental aspects:

  • road transport;
  • the combustion of the waste itself;
  • high costs;

On the other hand, in the case of the sterilization process, these impacts are considerably reduced, obtaining a final product sterilized and no longer dangerous, without harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
