PURPOSES

The technology has the strategic objective of responding to the stringent regulation in the management of medical waste of the European Waste Catalog (CER), using modern technology applied to a highly automated technological process. The end result transforms and recovers the sanitary waste into a no more dangerous waste.

In many states there are several regulations to be complied with, when potentially infected waste is processed and processed. Italy has one of the strictest standards in the sector of medical waste.

Among the major international organizations that officially recognize the need to use alternative techniques to incineration as well as numerous national regulations in several countries, stand out:

  • World Health Organization (OMS): UN specialized agency for health, founded on July 22, 1946 and entered into force on April 7, 1948, based in Geneva;
  • United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP): an international organization that has been working against climate change since 1972 to protect the environment and the sustainable use of natural resources;
  • Health Care WithoutHarm: a coalition of 500 members from 53 countries working to innovate the health sector worldwide.

ISPRA OPINION

Opinion by the Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA – public research organization used by Ministry of the Environment) in which it is highlighted that only the treatment with high pressure saturated steam is sufficient for sterilization of health waste at infectious risk.

LABORATORY OF CHEMICAL ANALYSIS “APULIA LAB”

Report Test  N° 1316_0053/LAB/12.

Characterization as CSS (UNI 15359, UNI 9903) produced by ECOSYST sterilization system.

In compliance with the provisions of art. 11 of the D.P.R. 254/2003, sterilized sanitary waste, classified using the CER code 191210 – fuel derived from waste(CDR)

“…can be send in CDR production plants or directly used as a means of producing energy…”.

The waste exiting the plant, sterile, crushed in small pieces, can be easily packaged, stored in temporary storage and sent directly to plants that use it to produce energy or to plants producing CDR / CSS that can exploit the high calorific value to improve the quality of their fuel.

QUALITY AND SAFETY

The technology complies with the Machinery Directive 2006/42 / EC and the Directives 2004/108 / CE (CEM) and 2006/95 / Ce (DBT).

It also complies with the following harmonized standards: CEI 61010-1: 2013, IEC 61010-2040: 2005, IEC 60204-1: 2010.

The sub-pressure chamber complies with the PED Directive 2014/68 / EU.

RESOURCES AND PATENT

ECOSYST is a highly INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY, PATENTED and DESIGNED by skilled engineers and technicians.

The high pressure wet steam sterilization method is the one that more than any other sterilizing agent guarantees the total reduction of any type of highly dangerous bacteria, viruses and spores.

ECOSYST is a highly innovative technology, patented and designed by engineers and specialized technicians, consisting of several elements connected and functioning in perfect synergy, specifically designed to optimize the results obtained by other disposal systems, while eliminating the drawbacks and risks.

The ECOSYST technology adopts a particular plant that uses a simple procedure, from the preparation phase of the waste to the subsequent dispatch to the sterilization phase. The two phases are batch processes that can take place simultaneously.

The entire process is controlled and verified in all its phases automatically by a “programmable” touch screen controller.

For the sterilization phase in particular, a special boiler was designed and patented to give extreme advantages from the point of view of safety, sterilization efficacy, respect for the environment and economic convenience.
